5 Tips to Fall Back in Love with the Bible

(and get free while doing it)

The Bible can be life-giving ... but it's hard to know where to start. Don't worry, we've got your back. Just keep reading.

You know how when you see someone holding a sign and it has a Bible verse on it, you immediately get that stone-cold feeling in the pit of your stomach? You just KNOW it's going to be a sign that says how much God hates someone instead of something about God's amazing and radical love.

And we sympathize. It's REALLY hard to know what exactly to say or do when someone is quoting the Bible with hate in their heart. Even worse, you may even secretly wonder if the Bible is not equipped to help you spread the message of love.

But take a deep breath! We've got good news for you. Scripture can be life-giving. The hard truth is that a ton of people have co-opted Scripture and made it fit their narrow understanding of who God is. What would it feel like if we experience Scripture as a big, beautiful, messy, and glorious part of our journey?

That's why Sandhya and Riana (see their awesome bios to the right) have provided THIS guide for you.

In this guide you WILL find out...

  • 5 ways that you CAN fall in love with the Bible so that you can experience it as a life-affirming book in your own life

  • How to make the switch from a wholesale acceptance fo the Bible word for word into viewing Scripture with mature eyes so that you can appreciate its complexity

  • That you are in a DYNAMIC relationship with Scripture so that you discover how much your voice really does matter

They were lucky enough to go to a church growing up that expected them to read through the Bible in both fourth and eighth grades and to ask questions and challenge assumptions about it. Both the love of the Bible and of challenging the status quo really stuck.

Sandhya was ordained at National City Christian Church in Washington, DC after receiving a masters in public policy and master of divinity at the University of Chicago. Sandhya’s masters thesis brought together their biggest passions: justice (specifically environmental racism), public policy, theology and community organizing.
